ABN has received today the SME of the Year Award 2023 of A Coruña, an award granted by Banco Santander and the Chambers of Commerce of A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Spain and the newspaper La Voz de Galicia.
The company’s Director of Administration and Finance, Manuel López, was in charge of collecting the award, in a ceremony held at the Chamber’s headquarters and attended by Antonio Couceiro, President of the Chamber of Commerce of A Coruña; María Pais, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago de Compostela; Francisco Conde, First Vice-President and Regional Minister for Economy, Industry and Innovation of the Galician Regional Government; Rocío Pazos, regional director of Banco Santander in Galicia; José Ramón Riobóo, Provincial Deputy of A Coruña; Manuel Galdo, Director General of the Chamber of Commerce of A Coruña; y Alfonso Andrade, delegate in A Coruña of La Voz de Galicia.
The JuryThe jury, composed of the deputy director of the Chamber of Commerce of A Coruña, Carlos Fernández; the general secretary of the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago, Rosa Mary Cardeso; the representative of the Territorial Delegation of Banco Santander, Pablo Gil; the representative of the newspaper La Voz de Galicia, Sofía Vázquez and the representative of the Provincial Council, Manuel Vázquez, has especially valued ABN Pipe’s contribution to job creation, its innovative and expansion capacity as well as its commitment to sustainability as merits to win this award.
The company’s director of Administration and Finance, ABN Pipe, Manuel López, emphasised that “this award is recognition of our efforts in innovation and sustainable development over the last few years, with a commitment to the local development of our Community from a global perspective.
In ABN we innovate and develop new products under an environmental premise, also contributing to sustainable development in the construction sector”.
The event was closed by the first vice-president and regional minister of Economy, Industry and Innovation of the Xunta de Galicia, Francisco Conde, who encouraged “the Galician business community to continue innovating in order to respond to the challenges of the energy and digital transition.
In addition, four runners-up prizes were awarded in the categories of:
- Internationalisation to Siotic Spain (Improving Metrics)
- Innovation and Digitalisation a Itelsis
- Training and Employment at Gabadi
- Sustainable Enterprise to Gestán
ABN Pipe will compete for the National SME of the Year Award 2023, which will be chosen among the winners from each province. The name will be announced in the first quarter of 2024, at a major event to be held in Madrid.
In this new edition, the seventh of this Award, 1,629 companies from all productive sectors have participated.
